Responsibilities
- Person in charge for Engine and Chassis.
- Perform complex problem solving with respect to dimensional accuracy, fit and function in assembly manufacturing areas (body, paint and assembly).
- Analyze body measurement reports (CMM)
- Analyze single part measurement reports.
- Analyze root causes of problems through evaluation of measurement data and “hands on panel/fixture fit techniques.
- Develop “countermeasures” to resolve problems.
- Confirm and optimize operating processes.
- Develop concepts to improve tooling (dies and assembly fixtures) and inspection devices.
- Initiate product and process changes.
- Confirm assembly parts in regard to dimensional accuracy and consistency in the manufacturing process.
- Follow up on quality and process issues.
- Work with others to develop concepts for larger process tooling and equipment changes.
- Providing ad-hoc countermeasures and composing product “re-work” instructions.
- Develop and integrate special tools, models and templates.
- Organize, participate and report in meetings.
- Confirm results of internal and external changes.
Requirements
- 1 year job related experience or technical education, automotive background preferred, however fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.
- Minimum a Diploma or Degree Level in related field.
- Experience in analyzing root causes of assembly deviations as well as in identifying and implementing effective countermeasure. Solid spatial ability.
- Good communication, influencing, integrating and negotiating skills.
- Ability to mentor / coach team members.
- Strong ability to serve as informal leader in production and within pilot hall assembly shop team.
- Understanding of tolerance analysis.
- Strong understanding of torque processes
- Spatial sense of assembly processes
- Understanding of technical drawings, specifications, functional dimensions, measurement reports etc.
- Knowledge of MSOffice
- Basic knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA V5), basic measurement skills (FaroArm, FaroLaserTracker, GOM, CMM, Inline)
- Willing to work on rotational shifts and overtime/ weekend
- Willing to travel (nationally and internationally)
- Willing to stay abroad for mid-to-long-terms stays
